JDRF Discoveries Online

Over 300 people showed up for our annual Walk Family Team Kickoff to learn about forming a family walk team. This year, the event was held at the Millennium Hotel in downtown Saint Louis. The meal was delicious and the speakers were great. We’d like to thank all our speakers: Carrie Haas, April Schwarting, Tim Windler and Linda Short. Also, thanks to Becky Duepner for agreeing to another year as our Family Team Chair!

The day also included Cardinals ballgame tickets (for a nominal fee). The Cubs were in town. But the Cardinals pulled out a spectacular ninth-inning drive to win the game, 5-4. A great end to a great (and informative) day!
